This post focuses on a birthday card made for a dear friend of mine using the ever so popular Daisy Delight stamp set and co-ordinating punch.
The card was created on Very Vanilla card stock. On the card front I created a background using a stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set in Sahara Sand ink. I then continued the design on the front centre panel and stamped the birthday sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Soft Suede ink on the right hand side.
I then stamped two of the daisies from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Calypso Coral ink onto some scrap Very Vanilla card stock. Punched out the daisies with the co-ordinating punch and glued them together to create a ‘fuller’ looking daisy.
I cut two strips from a sheet of the Delightful Daisy designer series paper pack (DSP), adhered them to the card front leaving a small border from the top and bottom. I then cut a piece of Calypso Coral card stock a little wider than the front centre panel to create a solid border between the DSP and the front centre panel and adhered it down.
I wanted to add an extra element, so on the left hand side of the front centre panel, I attached some Silver Metallic Thread and adhered the daisy over it. I then added a little bling to the centre of the daisy using a large Clear Faceted Gem.
The centre panel was adhered to the front of the card panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I carried the theme across the card by stamping the daisy inside the card and again on the front of the envelope.
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful week of doing what makes you happy!
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy your day.
Follow your bliss. x
